Feline herpesvirus (Feline herpesvirus) is a common respiratory virus in cats. It is species-specific, meaning it only affects cats and cannot be transmitted to humans or other animals.
In many cases, exposure may occur early in life, especially in multi-cat environments. After initial exposure, most cats develop immune response and remain stable, with little to no impact on their daily life.
Occasionally, some cats may experience mild symptoms such as temporary eye watering or redness, typically during periods of stress. These episodes are generally manageable and do not affect overall health or lifespan.

In our cattery, we take a proactive and responsible approach to overall health:
Kittens receive age-appropriate veterinary care and immunizations before going home
Adult cats are maintained on regular veterinary schedules and vaccinations according to current guidelines
We support immune health through proper nutrition, low-stress environment, and optional supplements such as NuVet Plus
We monitor all kittens closely to ensure they are active, thriving, and ready for transition to their new homes
Like any breeder working with live animals, we cannot guarantee that a kitten will never experience minor or stress-related symptoms in the future. However, we are committed to transparency and to placing kittens that are doing well and ready for a successful transition.
If you have any questions, we are always happy to discuss them so you can feel comfortable and informed.
